Embracing Hope Through Intentional Language and Habits

A Hopeful Lifestyle involves using specific language. Many times, you'll hear me refer to 'Habits' instead of 'chores'. Progress over perfection. It's a journey, not a destination. The way we communicate with those at home, ourselves, and even in our own minds can help us live in Hope rather than stress.

Personally, when I began my own Hopeful journey of organizing, I got stuck in the over-planning stages of perfection. I endlessly researched the 'perfect' solution for success. This mindset became paralyzing and often prevented me from taking the first step on a project. Since changing the way I speak (including self-talk that emphasizes the journey and progress) at home and embracing our Hopeful Lifestyle, life is managed with less stress.

When I receive updates from Hopefuls and my heart smiles, I know that #spreadhope is my calling. The picture in this month's blog is from one of my first Hopeful Organizing clients. Our first session was about a year ago in 2019. In June of 2020, I received an update from them about one of the spaces we worked on. We not only defined their organizing style but also set them on the path to Less Stress Living. Progress over perfection holds true when moving toward your Hopeful journey.
